"taking out his second race in four starts"
Macavity has provided some ups and downs in his short time with the Morton stable.

After his impressive first up win, he went to a class 1 at Northam where he sat wide throughout and was beaten 2.75lens by Halldora.

He then lined up in a graduation on Winterbottom Stakes Day at Ascot and failed to leave the barriers, which was hugely disappointing as he was declared a defininte starter.

Dan Morton opted to take him back to the provincials on Sunday and Macavity produced his best again, coming from well off the leader who had kicked strongly in the straight, to nail Our Two Bobs Worth right on the line in a classic Willy Pike driving finish.
