"first up for Dan Morton"
The amazingly bred Macavity (Street Cry x Brom Felinity) was way too classy for his maiden opposition at York on Sunday with William Pike in the saddle.
Macavity led from start to finish in a solid display, downin the second favourite by 1.75 lengths and the rest of the field were back a further six lengths.
Macavity was purchased from the Goldolphin disbursal sale and was probably unlucky to have been a maiden, having placed at 6 of his 7 career starts.
Hes impeccably bred, but top sire Steet Cry out of Group 2 winner Brom Felinity.
Macavity was well prepared by Dan Morton and we expect him to get up to a mile and beyond in the coming new months.
