Four Letter Werd (High Chaparral x Messenger Miss) accounted for his maiden easily at Northam over 1300m on Sunday at just his second start.

It was a great ride by Jarrad Noske, who bounced him out into the one by two and ran on strongly for an easy win.

The race was not without drama when at first, the gates failed to open, with many of the runners diving forward, only to hit the starting barriers.

Four Letter Werd is the half brother of Gangemi Racings smart sprinter of many years ago, Werd, who amounted $572,000 in stakes from 10 career wins.
