Four in a row for the Falcon

"headed to Kalgoorlie Cup"
Falcon Crest slayed them late again for probably his best win yet over 2100m at Belmont Park on Saturday.

Pike dropped the Musket gelding back to last early and rode very patiently to the turn, despite a muddling mid race tempo.
Turning for home, Pike took events into his own hands and took off wide at the turn, knowing that race favourite, Material Man, was midfield the rails and needed clear running.

Lucy Warwick on Material Man was held up momentarily but Pike had Falcon Crest mowing down the outside and momentum was enough to see him get over the short priced favourite for his fourth win in the campaign.

Grant Williams declared Falcon Crest was now ready to take the step up to the Kalgoorlie Cup in two weeks, a race where he will have to take on another seasoned Williams runner in Im Feeling Lucky and perhaps a rematch with Material Man.
