| Adam Durrant gets the best out of Generis Heart |
"Pinjarra winner over 2000m"
It has been a long road for the owners of Generis Heart since they purchased him last year from a dispersal sale in Qld.
After trialing three times for a last at each attempt, doubt started to set in as to whether the stayer had lost his zip.
The truth was, he never had any and it wasnt until he got some fitness under his belt and up to 2000m that he showed them anything.
A disaster at Ascot where he failed to handle the track and may have choked down, beaten 18 lengths, was a defining moment.
Adam Durrant however never lost his cool, guaranteeing that he could win races with the son of Show a Heart.
And that he did today, perfectly ridden by Peter Hall, one of WAs best staying hoops.
Generis Heart got there by a long neck but was doing his best work on the line.
