Essayez wins on debut

Ascot Bloodstock was pleased to announce its newest stable runner on Thursday last week, the impressive trial winner by Excellent Art in Essayez.

The 2yo filly was due to line up on the following Saturday and duly saluted in slashing style, sitting outside the leader and putting the race beyond doubt just after straightening.

It was new trainer Martin Allans first winner and indeed the first winner for many of her new owners.

Allan is keeping a level head and will send her around in a couple of weeks to confirm her class before raising his sights.
