| The Hoff and McCallum reunite |
"in a 1200m Broome maiden"
Husslehoff would have taken a lot of improvement from his first up effort at Gantheaume Point's dirt based track two weeks ago.
Husslehoff was slightly slow away at his first start at the track and dropped off the pace before running on well to fill the minor placing.
John Gangemi reports that he has trained on well, his last start being the second in a week after nearly two months away from the track.
The little Hussonet 3yo deserves a change of luck after being taken on throughout at Belmont, finishing 5 1/2 lengths behind Scorn Saxon and belted from pillar to post before that in a Pinjarra 1000m straight race.
Campbell McCallum is a welcome change of rider and will fly up to take the remaining stable rides for Gangemi, including Henley Street, Central Park and The Bing.
McCallum has a good association with Husslehoff, having ridden him for most of his trackwork this campaign.
