"Due Sasso - Busters Icon colt"
The Ascot Bloodstock team and Peter Bell have decided to retain and race a colt that they bred by Due Sasso from Busters Icon.
The yearling did not go through the sales ring at Magic Millions earlier this year and when Simon Miller inspected earlier this month, he indicated he was keen to train the grey colt.
With Simon Miller's keen eye for a youngster and an outstanding strike rate of 31% winners to runners at the moment, we decided the colt was worth keeping and racing.
Damian Winn has just completed breaking him in and liked what he saw. "He's got a great temperament and each time we took him to the track, he just grabbed the bit and wanted to run".
Damian, a trainer in his own right, does a lot of pre-training and breaking for the Aquanita stable. His opinion is worthy of note.
Please contact us if you would like to be a part of this private racing partnership. It will be on a first in, best dressed basis.
Shares will be sold at below cost as it is a venture not revolving around making money, but building relationships. Out total costs in rearing the colt to now approximate at $25,000.
