Nothing Personal sweats on a run

"in the Karrakatta Plate"
Two year olds can go as quickly as they came at this time of year due to shin soreness, immaturity and injury.

With WA's richest juvenile race ready to be run on Saturday, the connections of Nothing Personal will be secretly hoping for a little bad luck for one other runner, in order to gain a run in the big race.

The Lonhro gelding was probably lucky enough to be placed as first emergency, after coming from 29th in the order of entry just yesterday.

Having only won his maiden last week at Pinjarra, its a massive step up to competing in top company just 10 days later.

All eyes will be on the flight arrangements of Alezan Thunder, who needs to board a flight on Tuesday night in order to be here on time. Even so, its a huge ask for a two year old, flying the length of the country just days before a big race.

Regardless of whether she can win or not, that wont help the chances of Nothing Personal, who needs a scratching come Saturday morning.

Meantime, Werd has completed his final gallop in preparation for the Miss Andretti Stakes over 1200m on Saturday.

He worked alone on the grass at Belmont and looked slick in his work. The question on everyone's lips will be: "can he run out a strong 1200m"?

Its a distance he has struggled with in top company and it is expected he will meet just that again on the weekend. Latoria, Power Princess and All Friared Up are all reported to be heading to the Miss Andretti.
