"Trackwork Tuesday"
Notaclue (Choisir - Mindnight Caper) has succumbed to a career ending tendon injury after returning to work last month.
A sound horse for all of his career, Notaclue strained a tendon at his first fast workout on Tuesday morning.
It was a blow for his owners who had just paid for a minor wind operation, which had hampered him at several of his starts in the previous campaign.
Notaclue broke his maiden status with a slashing last to first victory at Northam in the winter before running fourth and second at Belmont at midweek level.
With his wind operation successful and out of the way, Notaclue looked like stepping up to the staying trip, which would have seen him competitive in city company.
We bid farewell to the big bloke, affectionately known as "Goose" around the stables.
He will find a nice paddock and perhaps a jumping or riding school in the future.
