"wins his trial "
Culprit (Elusive Quality - Messenger Miss), the half brother of stable star Werd, went to the track for his first dose of competitive racing today.
He jumped in a 400m trial against ten other two year olds and broke away from them to win by 3.5 lengths.
The time was 23.53, the fastest of the day and in fact one of the fastest times over the 400m this year.
Culprit was syndicated late last year with many of Werd's owners buttering up for another slice of the action.
Ascot Bloodstock still has 30% remaining in Culprit's yearling half brother by Statue of Liberty.
He was foaled down at Coolmore Stud and was reported to be one of the top five yearlings that left the farm last year.
Meantime, if the sire Elusive Quality turns you on, we have a two year old by Elusive Quality - Interlagos that also has 30% remaining.
Please contact us if you would like more details.
Meantime, Culprit should go to another trial next week over 1000m provided he pulls up well from today's experience.
