| Tottenham Hots and John Claite return to scale |
"Wins first up by 3 lengths"
Tottenham Hots ventured to Pinjarra for his first ever race start. There was a big tip around for him on course and he didnt let his loyal owners down.
After missing the kick about half a length John Claite quickly bustled the big striding son of Oratorio to the lead and he never looked back. He was travelling well throughout and even before John Claite had gone for him on the turn he had skipped well clear of his rivals.
He was ridden out hard to the line as he is still learning how to race but by the two hundred metres mark it was just a one act affair. He was simply too good for his rivals and has an exciting future ahead. The official margin was three lengths and the time of 1:11:60 was the fastest of the three 1200m races today.
It is exciting to have a horse win by three lengths on any race course let alone one having his first start.
No firm plans have been made for his next assignment. He should be better for the run and the experience will do him the world of good. He is sure to be competitive in whatever he contests.
Well done to Simon Miller for doing a great job with the horse.
