"Headlined by Tottenham Hots Racing First Up"
It will be a week full of racing for Ascot Bloodstock. The long awaited debut of Tottenham Hots will be seen at Pinjarra followed by the return of Bonsoleil on Thursday at Bunbury.
Tottenham Hots is unbeaten in all three of his trials and will look to take those good performances to Pinjarra in a 3yo 53-64 rated 1200m race. The big son of Oratorio has drawn well in barrier 2 and should be able to position in the first half of the field. He showed in last weeks trial that he has an explosive turn of foot when he put his rivals to bed in a couple of strides at the 150m mark. In his previous trial he had shown good speed to lead easily. He has versatility and plenty of talent on his side. John Claite will take the reins on Wednesday.
Bonsoleil will race first up off a soft trial at Belmont last week on Thursday at Bunbury in a 54-64 rated 1100m race. Lucas Camilleri will take the ride. In the past Bonsoleil has had a habit of over racing, however he will be ridden a bit cooler and save him for a finish.
