| Casper Fownes (centre) - one of the best in the world |
"A visit to Gangemi Racing"
Leading Hong Kong trainer Casper Fownes has spent the Christmas period in Perth as is a regular occurence at this time of year.
During his stay, he spent a full day with Michael and John Gangemi from Gangemi racing at both of their complexes at Henley Brook. Casper cast his keen eye over all of the facilities, feeds, treatments and indeed all of the bloodstock in the stable.
One by one, Casper touched on each horses history, problems and idiosyncracies, offering invaluable advice and tricks of the trade for each.
Casper must be considered one of the leading trainers in the world and is the reigning trainers premier in Hong Kong.
Stable Foreman Chris Gangemi is set to spend time at the stables of Fownes based in Hong Kong later this year.
Michael Gangemi takes yearly pilgrimages to see Fownes and was present when Casper clinched the title last year.
In turn, this expertise and information becomes very important in the success of Ascot Bloodstock with horses the likes of Werd, Sinister Motvie, Bombard, Stella Madonna and our un-named Hussonet colt, all in the hands of the Gangemi team.
