| Tottenham Hots winning at his first start |
"Hussonet colt fully syndicated"
The most recent purchase from the Magic Millions Gold Coast sale, the Hussonet yearling colt from the well related mare Debra's Joy is now fully syndicated. With the recent performance of Werd and the quality of this yearling it was always going to sell fast. He will be sent to be broken in over the next few weeks and with any luck we will hopefully see him racing towards the end of 2010 or early in 2011.
The Simon Miller trained Tottenham Hots is also closing in on his race track return. After a terrific first racing campaign which landed two terrific wins, including a Saturday win, the big son of Oratorio was sent for a good lengthy spell. He has been back in work for six weeks and is just under a month away from a trial. He looks in fantastic order and hopefully he can return where he left off his last campaign, that is in winning fashion.
Dark Money is also getting closer to a trial after having a nice spell following his runs in the JC Roberts and Melvista Stakes. Now back in Adam Durrants stables he should trial in just under three weeks before having his first up run this campaign. He will be kept to races around the mile distance as we think at this stage this is where he is best suited.
Glacial Energy is about 6 weeks away from his first trial. After a couple of frivolous paddock injuries he is in work and on track to show us what he is made of. The owners have all been very patient and understanding is waiting for their charge to get to the trials and races.
Bombard will head to Kalgoorlie this week for an 1100m race. After showing us and Gangemi racing huge ability on the training track he is yet to produce it on race day since he has been in the West.
Shadow Hussler the rising three year old son of Hussonet will be back in the stables of John Gangemi in the coming weeks after completing a month of pre training. He is bred to get over a mile and further and hopefully he can do that for us early in his three year old season.
Successful Spin is enjoying a good break at Heytesbury after a fruitful campaign down at Albany. Angela Smith had this son of Mossman going great guns yielding two seconds and a devastating maiden win. After a mishap in the barriers where he was a late scratching as a red hot favourite he was sent to the paddock. He is set to resume work in the next fortnight.
As you can see there is plenty going on behind the scenes and over the next few months the volume of runners for Ascot Bloodstock is sure to heat up.
